Shanay-Timpishka

The Shanay-Timpishka, also known as La Bomba, is a tributary of the Amazon River Patchitea (tributary of the Ucayali) and is the "only boiling river in the world". It is known for its very high temperature: water - from 45 °C (113 °F) to almost 100 °C (212 °F). Its name means 'cooked by the heat of the sun', although the source of the heat is actually geothermal. and the decay of radioactive elements in the Earth's crust, so geothermal energy has been around for millions of years and will remain permanently available in the future).

Two-thirds of the river is boiling hot and many animals have already become the victims. There are also places where the water doesn't get hotter than 86°C and you can even swim in the river after rainfall. Rain or not, a visit to the magical place in the rainforest that is a three-hour drive from the town of Puccallpa is highly recommended. The beautiful area has a spiritual history with powerful spirits and jaguars, and is full of unique (undiscovered) plants, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

Nature sounds spirit recordings: a cd was born

Year after year we return to the Boiling River. Every time we return home, a deep loss overtakes us, a longing to return, ... to her. Every day we spend hours by the steaming river, bathed in its vapors. Fall asleep every night with the swirling percussion next to our sleeping place. Seeing, hearing, feeling, drinking and bathing the water,...  Anchoring the spirit in our body.

This time we were whispered to take the spirit of the water home, but how? A bottle of water is ready in no time. During the recordings that I made of the ceremonial nights with Maestro Flores Icaro chants, I always noticed that the river next to the Maloka was so overwhelmingly present. How could I bring out the chants better. And then it became clear. SHE wanted to make her heard to the world. We set to work to capture the river in all its splendor. Her strength at the 6 meter high waterfall, swirling and steaming, but also her softness in the form of rippling streams between the rocks, overrun by dragonflies and butterflies. The morning songs of the many birds by the river as well as the crickets, bats and many spirits during the night were recorded. These recordings are all made from the Mayantuyacu center. This place is a home for very powerful spirits and therefore these recordings are definitely a special communication with the spirits.

At first sight or hearing, a waterfall or river looks the same everywhere. But if you put on your headphones, close your eyes and sit back and relax for a moment, you realize that there is much more to be heard. It sometimes even seems that you hear voices or even music in the river. The whispers of the ancestors who once gathered at this river. The sounds of nature, the vibrations of the stones, the insects, the leaves...each vibration contributes with its own spirit to this total spectacle: the spirit of the Boiling River.

The power of water is a feminine spirit. A spirit to get movement in our structures, flow in our body and evaporation in our head, to let the thoughts rise like steam. Immerse yourself completely and ask for healing from the river. She is very powerful and she knows you, perhaps better than you know yourself. So go with confidence and dare to listen to what she comes to tell you.

When we hear the word 'Spirit' we usually think of 'spirits' or at least subtle forms of energy. A spirit can actually be translated to the 'essence' of something, or 'Mariri'. This essence shows itself in innumerable forms; physical, energetic, emotional, auditory, sensory, emotional, etc. A spirit can thus make his/her individuality visible on and in so many vibrational layers. Or rather, the spirit IS visible in all layers. We just have to tune in to it. If we choose to observe only within the rational structures, we limit ourselves to the known connections or circuits that our brains are used to making. Water is water and a tree is a tree, amen and out! But the physical form is only one expression of the spirit. The more open you are to all the possibilities that are available in the universe, the easier all forms of expression make themselves presentable to you. And from then on, 'everything' becomes a ceremony. A dive into the water is not just a dive. It is a fusion between your spirit and that of the water. A dance, a love game, a meeting to learn from and honor each other.

So with this CD we bring the power of The Boiling River to you. The ears as a gate for this wonderful spirit.
